Le Fondement Biblique des Règles communes de la Congrégation de la Mission

Cet article explore les fondements bibliques des Règles communes de la Congrégation de la Mission, rédigées par saint Vincent de Paul et officiellement présentées en 1658. Divisée en trois sections, cette étude examine tout d'abord la relation profonde de Vincent avec l'Écriture et la manière dont celle-ci a façonné sa spiritualité et sa mission. La deuxième partie analyse les douze chapitres des Règles communes, en mettant en évidence les citations bibliques explicites et implicites qui structurent l'enseignement de Vincent. La dernière partie réfléchit à la manière dont ces Règles peuvent encore être vécues aujourd'hui comme un guide pour l'identité et la mission vincentiennes. L'article montre que pour Vincent, la Parole de Dieu n'était pas seulement une source d'édification personnelle, mais une force transformatrice pour l'évangélisation, en particulier parmi les pauvres. Sa célèbre phrase, « Jésus-Christ est la Règle de la Mission », affirme que le témoignage biblique reste central. Bien que les Constitutions actuelles datent de 1984, les Règles communesconservent une pertinence spirituelle et théologique durable.
