La réception de la pensée augustinienne dans la spiritualité de saint Vincent de Paul

Cette étude analyse la réception de la pensée de saint Augustin dans la spiritualité de saint Vincent de Paul, afin de montrer comment le fondateur de la Congrégation de la Mission a accueilli et réinterprété certaines des principales intuitions théologiques de l'Évêque d'Hippone. La recherche adopte une méthodologie historico-théologique fondée sur l'analyse des Œuvres complètes de saint Vincent de Paul (édition Sígueme), confrontées aux écrits de saint Augustin, ainsi qu'au Magistère de l'Église et aux études spécialisées. L'étude se concentre plus particulièrement sur quatre axes majeurs : la primauté de la grâce, la conversion permanente, la vie communautaire et la charité comme expression de la mission. Les résultats montrent que saint Vincent ne se contente pas de reprendre la doctrine augustinienne, mais qu'il la reçoit, la développe et la réinterprète dans une spiritualité missionnaire centrée sur le service des pauvres, offrant ainsi une synthèse originale qui demeure pleinement actuelle pour la vie et la mission de l'Église.
