La confession, la prédication et la conversion en el inicio de la fundación de la CM

Alors que la Congrégation de la Mission célèbre son 400ème anniversaire (1625-2025), cet article propose une réflexion sur le charisme vincentien et ses origines dans le ministère de Saint Vincent de Paul auprès des pauvres. Le message du Saint Père pour l'année jubilaire invite les Vincentiens à renouveler leur engagement envers leur mission fondatrice, inspirée par l'appel de l'apôtre Paul au renouveau spirituel (2 Tim 1:6). Les débuts de la Congrégation, marqués par une simple invitation à la confession à Gannes (1616) et un sermon transformateur à Folleville (1617), mettent en évidence le lien inséparable entre la prédication, la conversion et la réconciliation. Cette étude explore comment ces thèmes restent au cœur de la spiritualité, de la formation et de la mission vincentiennes. En mettant l'accent sur le sacrement de la réconciliation, le renouvellement du clergé et l'appel au pardon, l'article propose que le véritable renouveau implique une transformation à la fois personnelle et communautaire. Alors que les Vincentiens embrassent ce Jubilé, ils sont appelés à revitaliser leur charisme par l'espoir, la réconciliation et la fidélité à leur mission.
