La oración vicenciana, ayer y hoy

Este artículo explora el papel integral de la oración en la vida y misión de San Vicente de Paúl, contrastando con la imagen popular que se tiene de él como un mero hombre de acción. Destaca cómo la oración fue fundamental en la obra de San Vicente, dando forma a sus acciones caritativas y fundamentando su dedicación al servicio de los pobres. El artículo subraya la dualidad de la vida de San Vicente, que equilibra la contemplación y la acción. La actitud de San Vicente hacia la oración, profundamente arraigada en la humildad y en la búsqueda constante de la voluntad de Dios, fue vital para la supervivencia y eficacia de la Congregación de la Misión (CM) y de las Hijas de la Caridad. San Vicente veía la oración como esencial para la vitalidad espiritual, ofreciendo guía, renovación y una clara comprensión de los deseos de Dios. El artículo concluye discutiendo la aplicación contemporánea de la oración vicenciana, subrayando su necesidad para sostener las comunidades y misiones vicencianas hoy.
