En commémorant le 400ème anniversaire de la « Lumière de la Pentecôte » de Sainte Louise de Marillac, nous explorons la signification de l'Eucharistie pour elle, en particulier en relation avec l'Incarnation et en tant qu'héritage précieux. Le cheminement de la foi de Louise, marqué par la solitude, a été profondément influencé par des figures et des mouvements spirituels notables, façonnant sa profonde vie de prière et son dévouement à des vertus telles que l'humilité, la simplicité et la charité. L'expérience cruciale de la « Lumière de la Pentecôte » a transformé son chemin spirituel, l'amenant à collaborer étroitement avec Vincent de Paul dans des œuvres caritatives. Au XVIIe siècle, de nombreux catholiques comprenaient mal l'Eucharistie, mais Louise, éduquée au monastère royal de Poissy, a développé une profonde dévotion à son égard. Elle mettait l'accent sur les dispositions appropriées pour recevoir la communion et l'adoration eucharistique, reflétant une compréhension profonde peu commune à son époque. Pour Louise, l'Incarnation était motivée par l'amour divin, l'obligeant à imiter l'humanité de Jésus dans la simplicité et la charité, voyant sa vie comme un testament de l'amour illimité de Dieu.
