Al conmemorar el 400 aniversario de la «Luz de Pentecostés» de Santa Luisa de Marillac, exploramos el significado de la Eucaristía para ella, en particular en relación con la Encarnación y como preciada herencia. El itinerario de fe de Luisa, marcado por la soledad, se vio profundamente influido por notables figuras y movimientos espirituales, que moldearon su profunda vida de oración y su dedicación a virtudes como la humildad, la sencillez y la caridad. La experiencia crucial de la «Luz de Pentecostés» transformó su camino espiritual y la llevó a colaborar estrechamente con Vicente de Paúl en obras de caridad. En el siglo XVII, muchos católicos malinterpretaban la Eucaristía, pero Luisa, educada en el Real Monasterio de Poissy, desarrolló una profunda devoción por ella. Enfatizó las disposiciones adecuadas para recibir la Comunión y la adoración eucarística, reflejando una profunda comprensión poco común para su época. Para Luisa, la Encarnación estaba impulsada por el amor divino, que la obligaba a emular la humanidad de Jesús en sencillez y caridad, viendo su vida como un testamento del amor sin límites de Dios.
