La grâce est sans prix : Réflexions canoniques sur les offrandes de messe et les pauvres

Dans le contexte évolutif de la pratique des sacrements au sein de l’Église, une question profonde ressurgit concernant les offrandes de messe, notamment à la lumière du décret publié par le Dicastère pour le Clergé en avril 2025. Les canons 848 et 945 §2 soulignent la justice et la générosité dans l’acceptation des intentions de messe, en particulier de la part des pauvres. Comment répondre pastoralement à ceux qui, dans leur pauvreté, ne peuvent véritablement faire une offrande? Cette question concerne particulièrement les Vincentiens, qui, depuis le contrat de fondation de la Congrégation de la Mission le 17 avril 1625, se sont engagés à servir gratuitement, afin de partager gratuitement les dons reçus gratuitement de Dieu. Comme disciples de saint Vincent, est-ce l’occasion de réaffirmer notre identité ou un appel à rester fidèles à l’esprit fondateur de notre mission?
