Cette étude introductive présente les contributions originales de trois chercheurs vincentiens italiens — Luigi Mezzadri, Giuseppe Toscani et Erminio Antonello — à une compréhension renouvelée de l'esprit et de la spiritualité de saint Vincent de Paul. Rédigés dans le contexte du renouveau de la Congrégation de la Mission après le Concile Vatican II, leurs travaux ne cherchent pas seulement à retracer la vie de saint Vincent, mais à offrir des synthèses globales qui mettent en lumière les fondements théologiques, spirituels et historiques du charisme vincentien. Mezzadri souligne la primauté de la charité à travers une interprétation historiquement fondée de la vie de saint Vincent ; Toscani développe une théologie de la « mystique des pauvres », centrée sur l'amour du Christ comme cœur de l'existence chrétienne ; et Antonello propose une « esthétique du regard », mettant en valeur la charité comme une perception spirituelle façonnée par la foi. Ensemble, ces perspectives complémentaires continuent d'enrichir la formation vincentienne, la réflexion théologique, l'identité missionnaire et le renouveau permanent de la Congrégation.
