Théologie de la spiritualité vincentienne

Cette étude examine les fondements théologiques et la pertinence contemporaine de la spiritualité vincentienne, en mettant en lumière à la fois son importance historique souvent méconnue et la nécessité urgente de son renouveau aujourd’hui. S’appuyant sur des réflexions concernant Vincent de Paul, cet article soutient que sa spiritualité représente une « révolution cachée » au sein de la spiritualité chrétienne, en recentrant celle-ci sur l’évangélisation et le salut des pauvres. Contrairement aux cadres spirituels traditionnels axés sur les états intérieurs ou les hiérarchies ascétiques, la spiritualité vincentienne place la charité, la mission et la solidarité au cœur de la vie chrétienne. Malgré sa richesse, cette contribution a souvent été sous-estimée en raison de son expression pratique plutôt que systématique. L’étude met également l’accent sur l’héritage spirituel commun de la Famille vincentienne, enraciné à la fois dans Vincent de Paul et Louise de Marillac. Elle appelle à une réflexion théologique renouvelée, capable de réinterpréter cette spiritualité dans le contexte actuel, favorisant ainsi un renouveau ecclésial en accord avec la vision missionnaire promue par le pape François.
