This study examines the theological foundations and contemporary relevance of Vincentian spirituality, highlighting both its overlooked historical significance and its urgent renewal today. Drawing on insights about Vincent de Paul, the paper argues that his spirituality represents a “hidden revolution” in Christian spirituality, shifting its center toward the evangelization and salvation of the poor. Unlike traditional spiritual frameworks focused on interior states or ascetical hierarchies, Vincentian spirituality places charity, mission, and solidarity at the heart of the Christian life. Despite its richness, this contribution has often been underestimated due to its practical rather than systematic expression. The study also emphasizes the shared spiritual heritage of the Vincentian Family, rooted in both Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac. It calls for a renewed theological reflection capable of reinterpreting this spirituality in today’s context, fostering ecclesial renewal in line with the missionary vision promoted by Pope Francis.
